Why should men decide to cut off an organ that God considers good for women? Did God err by creating the girl child and making her come into this world with a clitoris? I often ponder on these questions each time I read about the gory experiences of girls in the name of circumcision. And I think any good person should be interested in these questions and the answers they can generate.
The clitoris has 8,000 nerve endings (and nine other things we learned from a new artwork)

Okay, here goes…. Some evolutionary theorists think the female orgasm in humans is a developmental by-product, like male nipples, but I tend to agree with Miller. If the clitoris evolved as an organ of discrimination or choosiness, then one of the things it ought to discriminate against is inattentiveness or disinterest. This follows from costly signaling logic and parental investment theory , and may help to explain the notorious variation in female sexual response.

But God, in His creative design of the woman, refutes this belief by giving females a sexual body part—the clitoris—that has absolutely no purpose other than to give her sexual pleasure. It is much like the penis in that it is a bundle of nerve endings that become engorged when stimulated. Interestingly, the male counterpart—the penis—has several other functions since it is also how a man urinates and makes babies. Realizing that God gave the clitoris to women solely for sexual pleasure invites husbands and wives to enjoy sex.
After reading a few post in this forum and the vatican website for info in sex in marriage, I notice that most people in here say that sex is for unitive and procreation and I couldn't agree most, but I notice that some christians in other websites say that sex is for unitive, procreation, and pleasure. I always thought that sexual pleasure was like any other pleasure in life. For example, we eat food to survive, and God gave us the gift of pleasure in food to enjoy while we are doing it. I thought that this same principle also applied to sex, but then after I heard what the other christians said, I remember something that I learned in my medical classes that I have forgotten.
